DELIVERY SERVICE
TAKEOUTGALVESTON.NET
DUE TO THE HARRASMENT AND RETAILEATION THAT I AM STARTING TO EXPERIENCE FROM THE GALVESTON POLICE DEPARTMENT.
TAKEOUTGALVESTON.NET CAN NO LONGER SAFELY DO BUSINESS IN GALVESTON.
AFTER SEVEN YEARS OF SERVING GALVESTON RESTAURANTS AND OUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SHUT DOWN OUR BUSINESS.
After seven years driving seven days a week 8 TO 10 hours a day and receiving no traffic tickets. I have in the last couple of months been followed and pulled over by officers of the Galveston Police Department. The reason given by the first officer Lt. Joel Caldwell was that I failed to use my turn signal and the second time the officer Said I failed to use my turn signal within 100’ of the intersection where I made my turn. The first instance my Ex neighbor Lt. Joel Caldwell pulled me over and wrote failure to use turn signal, failure to change address on driver’s license. A few days later another officer ticketed one of my vehicles for blocking the curb. the day I returned from evacuating because of hurricane Ike. I went to check on my house (Total loss) I started my van to go get the Insurance card and the license sticker that had run out during the time of the storm. I was stopped by Two Cops for failure to use my turn signal within 100’of the intersection. He made that a warning ticket he also wrote me for license sticker being expired when I explained to him we have had a Hurricane he also made that a warning ticket. He also wrote me for a no Insurance ticket even though I had Insurance cards in the car just not the new one which was a wet and soggy mess in my mail box due to the storm. He did not make that a warning. That one carries the biggest fine. I went to my agent and got a copy of my Insurance cards for all my cars and also went and renewed my license sticker. Since I have been targeted for this harassment and retaliation because of my blog Galvestonreporter.com I and my advisor’s feel it would safer for me to go underground we feel that due to the Arrogant, Untrained, Undisciplined officer’s on that police department if I continued to run my business my life would be in danger from an overzealous police officer wanting to make a name for themselves and try out his/her new Taser gun. The whole world has seen that in the video’s that were taking when officers of the Galveston Police department led by Lt. Joel Caldwell perpetrated a brutal attack on a wedding party at the San Luis Resort over an open beer someone was carrying. So I can try to stay in business and maybe die by murder by cop or I can go underground and continue to write and expose the crimes of this so called police department and their leader City Manager Steve Leblanc.
I wish to thank all my thousands of customer’s and the Restaurant owner and manager’s that I have worked with over the last seven years.
I wish you luck and please be careful you are living in a Police State not much different than Germany in the 1930’s.

It’s not the inspection part of the bureaucracy that caused one Galveston Business to close. It was the Galveston Police Department and who ever rules them. The Takeout Galveston delivery service has shut down after eight years of serving the Public and Restaurant’s here on the Island. The owner was interviewed and has stated that he has driven cabs and dialysis patients for ten years and can only remember getting one speeding ticket going to the hospital to pick up a patient because they were waiting for her at the Dialysis clinic. After opening the Takeoutgalveston delivery service which was a full service delivery service and working ten to twelve hours a day seven days a week to get it going here on the Island with no traffic violations he feels it necessary for his safety to close.
Being the only multi-Restaurant delivery service he delivered from almost any restaurant here on the Island. Also he had many shut-ins and elderly customers that depended on him to pick up their prescriptions and groceries. The owner not only wants to thank these customers and the Restaurant owner’s and Manager’s but also the flower shops and other businesses he serviced and delivered for here on the Island. Including driving all over Texas picking up Lab Samples for one of the lab’s at UTMB. Not to forget picking up and delivering body parts to and from the Airports for UTMB.
As stated the only reason he shut down his business is because of fear due to the harassment and retaliation being brought against him by the Galveston Police Department.
Right before Ike he was stopped by his neighbor officer Joel Caldwell and issued ticket’s for Failure to Signal a turn and wrong address on driver’s license. A few days later he was written up for having one of his vehicles parked to close to the curb. Right after Hurricane Ike the first day he was back on the Island and discovered his house was damaged and he could not live in it. He was stopped by two officers and issued a warning for failure to use turn signal within 100’ of an intersection, expired insurance card, and expired License sticker, He tried to explain to one of the officer’s that we had a Hurricane come through and he had just left his house with this vehicle that had made it through the storm to go get copies of his Insurance cards because the ones that came in the mail did not survive the storm. He went to the Insurance agency who was operating on generator power and got copies of his Insurance cards and then immediately to the county to renew his sticker after a lot of thought and seeing how out of control the Galveston Police department has become since the new chief took over he feels for his safety and that he cannot operate a business in a city with a police department so unprofessional and hateful toward the citizens and business owners of Galveston. And it would be best to shut down and work full time as a reporter for the blog GalvestonReporter.com to try to let the world know what it feels like to live in a Police State in the United States of America.
